Presence & Play at Spirit Camp

Just two hours north of the Bay Area, Spirit Camp will feel like your home away from home with wonderfully cozy accommodations and an abundance of land to explore. Whether you are traveling solo or with a group of friends, we have a variety of rooming options!

In this retreat, we’re taking it back to our youthful summer camp days! Think arts and crafts, games in the field, evening kirtan and dharma talks, beach excursions, cold plunges, kickball in the field, and more!

What to Expect

You’re in for a yoga party baby! Strong, sweaty, intelligent vinyasa practices, chanting, breathing, meditating, and more!

Practice Yoga Daily

Explore the surrounding woods, rest, connect with other folks, play games, do art, cold plunge in the ocean, and soak in the beauty of the surrounding redwood forest.

    We’ll sit, move, breathe, sing and wake up our bodies together, leaving you refreshed and ready for a day of play!

    4:30 PMDharma Talk & Afternoon Practice

    We’ll talk yoga, god, love, forgiveness, anger, attachments and all the things, followed by a strong practice to embody it all.

    Feast time! Swap stories of your day’s adventures and plot tomorrow’s shenanigans.

    8:00 PMCampfire & S’mores

    Gather ‘round for gooey treats, starry skies, and campfire tales. Feel free to belt out your favorite campfire song (or invent one!?)

    By now, you know the drill: Warm drinks, simple bites, and a peaceful start to your day before practice. Remember not to eat too much before we flow!

    The heart of Bhakti Yoga: We will join our voices, open our hearts and sing out! This is where the real magic happens. We’ll be graced by the presence of a very special surprise guest to lead our kirtan!

    One last morning to soak in the serenity with your yoga camp family.

**Now, you may notice that we haven’t included any “play” in this schedule. Well, fear not! There will be plenty of time for play, hikes, off-property cold plunge trips, and free time just to hang, read, or to explore and enjoy your most delightful, childlike ways of being!

About Spirit Camp

Spirit Camp is nestled in the enchanting redwoods on the Mendocino coast of Northern California, unceded territory of the Pomo people in the tiny town of Little River

The property offers a beautiful 2-3 hour drive North of the San Francisco Bay Area and 12 minutes to the town of Mendocino with organic grocery stores, shops, and restaurants.

Only a mile inland from the Pacific Ocean, you can enjoy bluff-lined beaches, hike through Redwood state parks, river canoe, and ocean kayak within minutes from camp.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • There is a non-refundable, non-transferable deposit. We do understand that unforeseen circumstances can occur, but because of our pre-retreat financial obligations to the center, deposits cannot not be refunded. Before you sign up, please make sure this is a retreat you can the make time and space to attend. Full payment is due 90 days before the start of the retreat and is non-refundable.   • Totally! You can always modify your practice, slow down, take rest or just stop if anything feels wrong. The practices should be suitable for most levels of practitioner. That said, Peter’s classes are often strong, sweaty and sometimes fast! We do suggest taking plenty of yoga classes (ideally with Peter!) before attending a retreat. We will have assistants there to support you in your practice.

  • Rooms are cozy and delightful! You'll either be in shared, solo or BYOTent accommodations. See pictures above to see what accommodations are like!

  • Likely not! We can work with most diets (GF, DF, vegan, etc) unless it's super restrictive. Please note that this is a vegatarian retreat and no animal products aside from eggs and dairy are allowed on site.
