Terms & privacy.
Terms of service, cancellations, and privacy — for the website, online classes, memberships, retreats, and in-person practice. Plain English. Real terms. Email peter@peterwaltersyoga.com if anything here needs talking through.
Last updated 2026-05-27 · Effective 2026-05-27
These terms govern your use of peteryoga.com, all related subdomains, online classes and courses, memberships, retreats, in-person sessions, and any products or services offered by Begin Again Productions, LLC (a California limited liability company doing business as Peter Walters Yoga). Throughout this page, "we," "us," and "our" refer to Begin Again Productions, LLC. "You" means you — the visitor, student, member, retreat participant, or customer.
Terms of service
These terms apply to everything you do with us — browsing the site, taking an online class, joining a membership, booking a retreat, showing up to an in-person class or workshop, buying a journal or product. Using any of it means you accept these terms. If you don't, please don't use the service.
Who we are & what we offer
Begin Again Productions, LLC operates Peter Walters Yoga. We offer online yoga classes, courses, and teacher training; memberships and subscription content; in-person classes, workshops, and private sessions in Marin County, California and elsewhere; international and domestic retreats; digital products (journals, guides, PDFs); and adjacent offerings as we build them.
Some services run on third-party platforms — Stripe for payments, Momence for class streaming and memberships, Kit for email lists, Resend for transactional email, Vercel for hosting. Their terms apply to you in parallel with these. We don't control how those platforms operate.
Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 18 to create an account or purchase a service on your own behalf. Minors may participate in classes or retreats only with verified parent or guardian consent and supervision where appropriate.
If you create an account, you're responsible for the credentials and for anything that happens under it. Notify us promptly at peter@peterwaltersyoga.com if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion for conduct that violates these terms.
Payments & pricing
Prices are listed in U.S. dollars and processed through Stripe or Momence. Card information is handled directly by the processor — we don't see or store full payment numbers. Recurring subscriptions (memberships, payment plans) renew automatically at the stated cadence until you cancel through your account, through the processor's portal, or by emailing us.
We may change prices for future purchases at any time. Price changes don't apply retroactively to a purchase you've already completed or a payment plan you've already started.
Your conduct
- Use the service for personal, lawful purposes only — not to harass, harm, or infringe on anyone's rights.
- Don't redistribute, resell, or publicly share class recordings, course materials, journals, PDFs, or membership content. Everything we publish is for the person who paid for it.
- Don't try to break, scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the site, the streaming platform, or any related system.
- On retreats and in-person events, follow the safety, behavioral, and venue rules we communicate. We can remove anyone whose conduct is unsafe, harassing, or materially disruptive — without refund.
Intellectual property
Everything published under Peter Walters Yoga or Begin Again Productions — class videos and audio, course curricula, journals, PDFs, written essays, photographs, branding, and the Begin Again methodology itself — is owned by Begin Again Productions, LLC or licensed to it, and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
When you buy or join, you get a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the material for your own practice. You don't get the right to copy, distribute, publicly perform, modify, or commercially use any of it without written permission.
If you submit feedback, testimonials, or content to us (a review, a class question, a photo you tag us in), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use it in connection with the service and our marketing, with reasonable attribution where applicable.
Online classes, memberships & recordings
Live online classes happen at scheduled times via Momence or a comparable platform. Membership content includes a library of recordings and live access at the tier you've purchased. Access continues as long as your membership is active and in good standing.
We may add, remove, or adjust class times, instructors, and library content. We aim to give reasonable notice for material changes but reserve the right to make them.
Retreats & in-person participation
Yoga, breathwork, and physical practice carry inherent risk. By booking a retreat, workshop, or in-person session, you confirm that you've considered your own physical and mental fitness for the activities, that you've consulted a qualified medical provider if needed, and that you participate at your own risk.
You may be asked to sign a separate liability waiver, health intake form, and code of conduct at booking or on arrival. Those documents are part of these terms and prevail in any conflict on the specific topics they cover.
For international retreats: you're responsible for your own passport, visas, vaccinations, travel insurance, and compliance with destination laws. We strongly recommend travel insurance with trip cancellation and medical evacuation coverage — book it the same week you book the retreat.
We may modify itineraries, venues, or instructors for safety, weather, illness, regulatory, or other practical reasons without refund where the program still delivers its substantive intent.
Health & medical disclaimer
Peter Walters Yoga is not medical care. Nothing on the site, in any class, course, journal, or session is medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Consult a qualified medical provider before starting any new physical practice, especially if you're pregnant, recovering from injury or surgery, managing a chronic condition, or have a mental health concern.
Stop and rest if anything in a practice causes pain, distress, or symptoms you don't recognize. Seek emergency care if anything is acute.
Third-party services & links
The site links to and integrates with services we don't operate — Stripe, Momence, Kit, Resend, Vercel, Substack, Instagram, and others. We're not responsible for the content, practices, or terms of those services. Your interactions with them are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties — express, implied, statutory — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any specific results will follow from your practice.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Begin Again Productions, LLC, its members, officers, employees, instructors, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, or pain and suffering — arising from or related to your use of the service, even if we've been advised of the possibility.
Our aggregate liability for any claim arising from or related to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100).
Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations of liability. To the extent any provision is unenforceable in your jurisdiction, the limitation applies to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Begin Again Productions, LLC and its members, officers, employees, instructors, and contractors from any claim, liability, damage, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the service, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
Governing law & disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute that isn't resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Marin County, California, and you consent to jurisdiction and venue there.
Before filing anything formal, please write us at peter@peterwaltersyoga.com with a clear description of the issue. We'll respond in good faith and try to resolve it directly.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated more prominently — by email to active customers or a notice on the site. Your continued use of the service after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.

Cancellations & refunds
I'd rather you show up than chase a refund. But life moves. Here's how cancellations work across every kind of thing we offer.
Single online classes
- Refundable as class credits only, and only with at least 12 hours' notice before the start.
- No-shows and late cancels are forfeited.
Memberships & subscriptions
- Cancel anytime through your account, through Momence, or by emailing peter@peterwaltersyoga.com.
- Cancellation stops future billing. The current paid period isn't prorated or refunded — you keep access through the end of it.
- We don't issue refunds for unused classes within an already-billed period.
Online courses, programs & teacher training
- Course and program fees are non-refundable once the program has started or materials have been released.
- Pre-start refunds: full refund if you cancel more than 14 days before the start date; 50% refund between 14 and 7 days; no refund within 7 days of start.
- You keep access to all delivered materials for the stated access period.
- Significant documented hardships may qualify for credit toward a future program — email and tell us what's going on.
In-person classes & workshops
- Drop-in classes: refundable as credit with at least 4 hours' notice; no refund or credit for no-shows.
- Workshops: full refund or credit with at least 7 days' notice; 50% credit between 7 and 2 days; no refund or credit within 48 hours.
- If we cancel a class or workshop for any reason, you get a full refund or equivalent credit — your choice.
Retreats & immersions
- Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Final balances are due 90 days before the start date.
- No refunds within 90 days of the start date, including for illness, travel disruption, or any reason outside our control.
- Travel insurance with trip cancellation and medical evacuation coverage is strongly recommended — book it the same week you book the retreat.
- Some retreats permit transfer to a replacement participant you secure yourself, subject to our approval. Reach out — we'll help where we can.
- If we cancel a retreat in full, you receive a refund of payments made minus any non-recoverable third-party costs (venue deposits, flights booked on your behalf, etc.) — or equivalent credit toward a future retreat at your election.
Digital products (journals, PDFs, guides)
- Digital products are final sale and non-refundable once the download has been delivered.
- If a download link fails or the file is corrupted, email us and we'll fix it.
Hardship
- Real hardship is real. Email peter@peterwaltersyoga.com, tell me what's happening, and we'll figure out what's fair — usually a credit toward a future offering.
Privacy policy
What we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. This policy applies to everything we operate — the website, classes, memberships, retreats, and in-person events.
Information you give us directly
When you register an account, sign up for a class or membership, book a retreat, fill out a contact form, subscribe to a newsletter, or buy a product, we may collect: your first and last name; username and password; email address; phone number; mailing address; emergency contact information; health and dietary information you provide for retreats or in-person practice; and payment information.
Payment card numbers are processed directly by Stripe (and where applicable, Momence). We don't see or store full card numbers in unencrypted form. We may store a payment processor token, the last four digits, and the card brand so you can recognize the card on file.
We may combine information you provide with information we collect through other channels (phone, email, retreat intake forms) and treat it all as personal information when linked to identifying details.
Information we collect automatically
When you visit the site or use the service, we and our third-party partners may automatically collect usage information through cookies, log files, device identifiers, and similar technologies. This can include: IP address; browser type and version; device type, model, and operating system; mobile carrier; referring and exit pages; pages viewed and links clicked; time spent on pages; and approximate location derived from IP. On mobile devices, depending on your settings, this can include unique device identifiers (UDID, IDFA, Google Ad ID) and precise geolocation.
We may use clear gifs (web beacons) in HTML emails to track which messages are opened and which links are clicked, so we can understand what's useful and improve future emails.
We honor opt-out preference signals required by applicable law, including the Global Privacy Control (GPC), when received from your browser. Because there's no consistent industry standard for legacy "Do Not Track" signals, we don't separately respond to those at this time.
How we use information
- Operate, maintain, and deliver the service — run the classes, manage your membership, fulfill your retreat booking, ship your product.
- Communicate with you about your account or purchase (transactional email: receipts, scheduling, technical and security notices). You can't opt out of these while you have an active account or purchase.
- Send marketing — new classes, retreats, courses, essays — but only if you've opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time from the link in any email.
- Personalize content and recommendations.
- Measure traffic and usage trends, diagnose problems, and improve the service.
- Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
- Comply with our legal obligations and enforce our terms.
Cookies & tracking
We use cookies to remember you between visits, keep you signed in, and understand how the site is used. We may also allow third-party analytics and advertising partners to set cookies that help measure performance and, in some cases, show ads on other sites that may be relevant to you.
You can disable or delete cookies through your browser settings — see allaboutcookies.org for instructions. Note that disabling cookies may break parts of the service. To opt out of interest-based advertising specifically, the Network Advertising Initiative maintains opt-out tools at networkadvertising.org.
Who we share information with
We don't sell your personal information for money. We share information only as needed to operate the service:
- Service providers who work on our behalf — including Stripe (payments), Momence (class streaming, memberships, bookings), Kit (newsletter and email marketing), Resend (transactional email), Vercel (website hosting), and analytics tools. Each handles only what they need to perform their service.
- Retreat venues, transportation providers, and local partners when necessary to fulfill your booking — name, dietary needs, arrival details, emergency contact.
- Business partners who jointly offer something with us, where you've engaged with that joint offering.
- Other parties in a corporate transaction (merger, sale, reorganization, financing, acquisition, or bankruptcy).
- Law enforcement or other parties as required by law, subpoena, or where we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to comply with the law, enforce our terms, or protect rights, property, or safety.
- Aggregated or deidentified data that doesn't identify you — we may share this freely.
California & other state privacy rights (CCPA / CPRA and similar)
If you live in California or another state with comparable privacy law, you have the right to: (a) know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and share about you; (b) request access to or a copy of that information; (c) request correction of inaccurate information; (d) request deletion, subject to legal exceptions; (e) opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information and of targeted advertising; (f) limit the use of sensitive personal information; and (g) not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. However, certain disclosures to advertising or analytics partners may qualify as "sale" or "sharing" under California's CCPA/CPRA and similar state laws. To opt out, email peter@peterwaltersyoga.com with the subject line "Privacy Request", or send a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser.
You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, subject to our verification procedures.
European, UK & Swiss privacy rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)
If you're in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, our legal bases for processing your personal information include: (i) performance of a contract with you; (ii) compliance with legal obligations; (iii) our legitimate interests in operating, improving, and securing the service; and (iv) your consent, where required.
You have the rights described above (access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection) and the right to withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
Your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers, including the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
How long we keep information
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active, as needed to deliver the service, and as required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or deidentify it in accordance with our records retention practices. Some records (tax, payment, legal) we're required to keep for fixed periods regardless of account status.
Security
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure, or access — including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, vendor due diligence, and regular review of our security practices.
No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security. If a breach of security materially affects your information, we'll investigate, notify affected individuals where required by law, and take steps consistent with applicable regulations.
Children's privacy
The service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16 without verifiable parental consent. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) for users under 13 and with state-law restrictions on the sale or sharing of personal information of minors under 16.
If you believe we've collected information from a child under 16, please contact us at peter@peterwaltersyoga.com and we'll delete it.
Links to other sites
The service links to or integrates with sites and services we don't operate. We aren't responsible for their practices. Review their privacy policies before sharing information with them.
Changes to this privacy policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If the changes are material, we'll provide a more prominent notice (email to active customers or an in-service notification). Continued use of the service after the effective date means you accept the updated policy.
